You may have heard from your parents that Kate arrived, just two days after our Moving Up Day on Saturday, June 17! She really wanted to let me finish out the school year with you all, and I am oh so grateful for that.
I wanted to share with you all a few photos from her first days of life - both at the hospital and at home. My parents visited from Virginia, and my sister, Lauren, came too and surprised us at the hospital! Nick's mom also came to visit from New Jersey. We got to go home from the hospital on Monday, and yesterday Kate had her first bath and appointment at the pediatrician's office. She got a good report!
Nick and I have a lot to learn as new parents, but we are loving getting to know Kate. Right now she does a lot of sleeping and eating as you can imagine, but we are slowly starting to see her personality (check out the videos in the album to see more). She is loving using the gifts you all got her, including the towel she used right after her first bath with her name on it!
I'm also enjoying starting to read her books, sing to her, and tell her stories. She especially enjoys hearing about our classroom this past year and each of you!
I would love to keep in touch with all of you this summer and next year when I'm on maternity leave until January.
